No Family Goes Hungry in Dutchess County
Our food distribution program reaches hundreds of families across Pawling and Dutchess County every month.
Fresh Produce & Veggies Distribution
Camino al Éxito's Food Distribution Program is a critical wraparound support that strengthens the organization's core youth mission by helping stabilize families. While youth development remains Camino's central programmatic focus, food distribution serves as an essential enabling service that reduces immediate hardship, builds trust with families, and creates the conditions that allow youth to participate more consistently and successfully in Camino's youth core programming.
What makes Camino's food distribution program especially distinctive is its focus on fresh, healthy, high-quality, culturally-relevant food and its dignity-centered, choice-based model. Rather than limiting families to a pre-packed bag, Camino allows participants to select what they need and take the amount that is appropriate for their household. Families have access not only to staple items, but also to large quantities of fresh vegetables and fresh meat, making the program far more robust than a traditional pantry model.
